Victory College students are required to wear the full uniform correctly when travelling to and from the College and during College hours.

Victory College students are encouraged to take pride in their school uniform. It should be well-laundered and worn neatly, following the guidelines below. A signed note from the parent/caregiver is needed for any situation where a student is out of uniform, otherwise, consequences will apply.

Whenever the uniform is worn in the community, Victory College students are expected to uphold the same high standards of uniform and presentation as at the College. Modesty and excellence in presentation are expected at all times.

Purchase of Uniform

At the time of enrolment a complete uniform set will need to be purchased. It is compulsory to wear all elements of the Victory College uniform as outlined in the uniform requirements and guidelines outlined below. Hair Guidelines

All students are expected to keep their hair looking natural, clean and well groomed.
It should not draw undue attention to the wearer. Students may be required to remain off campus until incorrect hairstyles are rectified.

For Boys:

  • Hair must clear the eyebrows to the front.
  • Hair should not hang over the collar when the head is in the upright position.
  • Hair should not hang past the middle of the ear.
  • Haircuts should be short, without being excessively so (i.e. not less than a two
    blade).
  •  Hair cannot be bleached, or dyed.
  • Any styles which are out-of-the ordinary in any way are not permitted (including
mullets, mohawks, man buns, or hair ties, etc.).
  • Sideburns should not extend below the middle ear.
  • No patterns to be shaved into hair.
  • Faces should be clean-shaven at all times.
  • Hair must not be cut into different lengths. Hair should fade into the next length,
e.g. a number 2 cut around the ears with a clear long fringe and back of the
    head.

For Girls

  • Hair is to be the student’s natural colour and without visible streaks. Coloured
hair to be rectified at the parents’/caregivers’ expense.
  • Hair is to be worn away from the face and not falling below eyebrows. Bobby
pins in similar hair colour should be used to ensure hair is pinned back and out
    of the face.
  • Hair longer than the shoulder must be tied to the back at all times using hair
ties, ribbons, scrunchies or clips, in College colours only (blue, black or bottle
    green).
  • Hair accessories have to perform a function and must not merely be worn for
decoration. They must be in College colours only (blue, black or bottle green).
  • Excessive plaiting with the use of beads, fully, or partially shaved haircuts, or
other out-of-the ordinary cuts are not permitted.
Jewellery & Makeup

For Boys:

  • Jewellery is restricted to a watch.
  • No body jewellery – metal or otherwise – of any description is permitted.
  • No make-up is permitted
  • No visible tattoos are permitted

For Girls:

  • One pair of silver or gold studs or sleeper earrings, worn in the traditional position
on the lobe of the ear. Studs are to have a maximum head diameter of 3mm
while sleepers must be plain and have a maximum diameter of 10mm. Clear
piercings are not permitted. No body jewellery of any description is permitted,
nor the use of retainers in face piercings.
  • One watch is permitted.
  • No body jewellery – metal or otherwise – of any description is permitted.
  • No visible tattoos are permitted.
  • No cosmetic enhancements will be allowed, e.g. lip fillers, eyebrows or false
    eyelashes.
  • Girls in Secondary College may use a small amount of foundation to cover
blemishes so long as it can reasonably be considered a natural look. Any other
kind of makeup is not allowed.
  • Only clear nail polish may be used and artificial fingernails are not permitted.

The College confirms that cosmetic enhancements, including but not limited to fake eyelashes/eyelash extensions, eyebrow enhancements/tattoos, Botox or facial injections, steroids or tattoos are not permitted. The College encourages all students to honour the way God made them, rather than applying artificial beauty treatments and mimic popular trends.

Out-of-uniform Policy

Students are not permitted to attend school out-of-uniform unless a genuine signed note from parents or guardian is provided. Students in breech of the uniform policy will be reprimanded and asked to either remove any non-approved uniform item such as jewellery or if the breech is considered severe may be sent home. In the absence of a genuine, signed parental note, parents will be contacted and asked to resolve the uniform problem; failure to do so may result in the student being sent home.

The only clothing that is to be visible is the approved College uniform. This is not negotiable.
